Mid-Atlantic PGA Road Show Spotlights Propane Technology, PERC Incentives

The Mid-Atlantic Propane Gas Association held a Road Show last week at Maple Lawn Farm in Fulton, Md., and brought together equipment dealers, propane marketers, customers and the Propane Education & Research Council. The show provided hands-on demonstrations of a variety of propane-fueled technologies including Roush CleanTech trucks, a commercial mower from Exmark, a John Deere tractor, a Red Dragon agricultural flamer, and Bergquist alt-fuel conversion equipment.

A presentation on PERC’s incentive programs was provided by consultant Greg Zilberfarb. PERC offers financial incentives to purchasers of some of the new technology it has had a hand in bringing to market. The initial incentive program Propane FEED targets the farm market with such products as grain dryers and irrigation engines. The Propane Exceptional Product (PEP) Program targets construction professionals, homeowners and businesses. PEP offers incentives on five products including two generators and several combined heat and power systems. PERC in April launched an incentive program for commercial mowers.
The Mid-Atlantic PGA Road Show drew 40 attendees from 17 firms. The Mid-Atlantic group represents propane professionals in Maryland and Delaware.

Propane has been "Green" for 100 years! Lower emissions than gasoline, diesel, and heating oil. Think electricity is clean? How about those coal powered electric generation plants lighting your home right now...think about it. Celebrate Earth Day with a steak on your propane gas grill. :-)
